Creative and infrastructural performance are brought together in the Queensboro Dance Theater, a performance space nestled underneath the arches of the Queensboro Bridge. Dancers, building, and bridge perform relative to each other as rehearsal spaces break the rigidity of the column grid, creating unusual audiences through unexpected visual opportunities. The ‘fourth wall,’ a term from performance theory is constantly broken and rebuilt throughout the project.
